Documents; New Loan Letter is now a "Word Document" rather than "Word VBA"

The "New Loan Letter" document supplied with finPOWER Connect is now a "Word Document" rather than a "Word VBA".

What this means is:

  • No "Loan_New.dot" is now supplied in the /Templates folder when finPOWER Connect is installed.
  • Instead, the following 2 files are supplied:
    • Loan_New.docx
    • Loan_New.xml
  • There is no longer any requirement for Microsoft Office to be installed on the PC publishing this document.
  • A PDF file is created instead of a Word file.

To set up a "New Loan Letter" Document in finPOWER Connect:

  • From the Admin menu, select Documents.
  • Select the "Import" action.
  • Locate the /Templates/Loan_New.xml
  • Save the new Document record.

NOTE: The New Company wizard has been updated to use the above mechanism to configure the "NL" Document.
