Time Zone changes for Log forms and business layer Log objects

The various Log objects within the finPOWER Connect business layer have been updated to support Time Zones.

The following time zone related properties are now available on the finLogRO object:

  • LogDate
  • LogTimeZone
  • LogDbDate
  • LogTzDate
  • LogUtcDate
  • ActionDate
  • ActionTimeZone
  • ActionDbDate
  • ActionTzDate
  • ActionUtcDate
  • ActionCompleteDate
  • ActionCompleteDbDate
  • ActionCompleteTzDate
  • ActionCompleteUtcDate

The Date property has been obsoleted but can still be accessed and will simply return the LogDate property.

The business layer, including built in standard blocks for Log Summaries and reports has queries have been updated as follows:

  • Always use the LogDate property instead of the obsoleted Date property.

New setting to determine whether Summary Pages should always display Time Zone information:

  • Global Settings, Summary Pages, Always show Time Zone information where relevant when generating from a Web Server?
    • Regardless of whether the database is using Time Zones, this setting can be used by Summary Pages (as it is by the built-in Log Summary Page) to force Time Zone information to be displayed when running from the Web, i.e., the Summary Page is being generated from a Web Server which may not be in the same Time Zone as the database.

Similar changes have been made to each of the following Log business layer objects and their corresponding forms:

  • finAccountLog
  • finAccountAppLog
  • finClientLog
  • finSecurityStmtLog
  • finSecurityStmtItemLog
  • finUserLog
