finPOWER Users - South Pacific Loans Ltd

South Pacific Loans, based in Central Manukau, Auckland have been finPOWER clients since they first opened doors for trading on 1 May 2000. In this time they have grown their business significantly by providing a high quality personalised service in the competitive finance industry. Their core business is money lending, providing personal loans on chattels, vehicles, real estate, Listed Company Shares and Life Insurance Policies, as well as a range of 'add-on' services.

Since May 2000 South Pacific Loans has grown from a single staff member to 7 full time employees and 1 part time employee.

In October 2005, the team at South Pacific Loans, alongside their Director, Kit Parkinson, were successful in winning the ‘Excellence in Retail’ category at the prestigious Manukau Business Excellence Awards. They are also proud winners of the ‘Best Emerging Business’ category, awarded in 2002.

Over the last 6 years South Pacific Loans has built its business around finPOWER and have used emPOWER as their back office accounting system. Kit says that by providing “real time track ability and drilldown into each client record and lending profile, finPOWER has increased our ability to provide the highest quality service to each client”.

South Pacific Loan’s close relationship with their Intersoft Dealer, Jon Donald of Amtrax Ltd, has ensured that they benefit from the full efficiency that finPOWER provides. “Jon Donald’s knowledge and ability to find answers to our questions, has been impressive throughout the implementation of the software” says Kit.

Future growth plans include an expansion into a new Branch and an increase in the staff. South Pacific Loans are currently future proofing their business model and growth plans by ensuring their IT infrastructure is capable of running finPOWER and emPOWER on a SQL Server environment.
