Reporting; Log List reports now support filtering, grouping, and including by Log Category
The six Log List reports now expose the Log Category field as a range filter, an optional column, and a grouping level.
The following reports have been updated:
- Account Log List
- Account Application Log List
- Client Log List
- User Log List
- Security Statement Log List
- Security Statement Item Log List
Each report now provides:
- A Categories range on the Ranges page, in the Select Log Ranges section. The dropdown is populated with the distinct Category values actually used by Logs in the database. When no Logs have a Category, the dropdown is empty and the filter has no effect.
- A Category option in the Select Columns to include checklist on the General page. When ticked, the Category column displays on the report.
- A Category option in the Select any Grouping Levels picker on the Grouping page, allowing Logs to be grouped by their Category value.
NOTE: Log Categories are populated from per-Log-class system Information Lists (AccountLogCategories, AccountAppLogCategories, ClientLogCategories, UserLogCategories, SecStmtLogCategories, SecItemLogCategories). The reports filter directly on the LogCategory column value, so historical Logs with a Category set will still be filterable / groupable even if the corresponding Information List entry is later removed.
