finPOWER Connect Cloud Configuration; Multi-Factor; You can now specify an "Issuer" for "Authenticator App" Multi-Factor Authentication to better support multiple sites
Previously, the "Issuer" used for Authenticator App MFA (Multi-Factor Authentication), in finPOWER Connect Cloud, was hard-coded to "finPOWER+Connect".
This could cause problems for Users of multiple databases, e.g., Administrators of multiple systems or databases being run in Test and Production environments, since there was no way, within the Authenticator App to differentiate between these.
The "Multi-Factor" page of the finOWER Connect Cloud Configuration form now allows an "Issuer" to be specified. By default, this is the Database Name as specified under Global Settings.
A new "Reset Multi-Factor Authentication for ALL Users" buttons has been added. If you change the "Issuer", you might want to reset MFA for all Users so that their Authenticator App then shows.
NOTE: When using the same database in different environments (e.g., Production vs Testing), it is advisable to change the Database Name or, if this is not feasible, this new "Issuer" field.
