External Party Employees; if edited via the linked Client, the External Party Employee Code is blanked

External Party Employees are normally entered via the External Party, Personnel page. When entered here, the "External Party Employee" page is shown The External Party Employee Code can be defined here.

An Employee can either be simple name and details or linked to a Client within finPOWER Connect. Linking to a Client allows more details to be stored.

If linked to a Client, the Personnel information can also be edited from the Client's Employment page. Doing so does not show the "External Party Employee" page.

An issue in version 3.4.2 meant that if edited via the Client's Employment page the existing External Party Employee Code was blanked. This means the Employee stops being shown in places such as the dropdown for an Account's Dealer Employee.

Note, the External Party Employee Code is mandatory if the Personnel record is for an Individual. It can be left blank on screen and when saved it will be automatically generated.
