Timed updates may fail if User has just changed their password
The following views regularly communicate with Web Services to check for changes:
- Reporting
- To see if Downloads are ready
- Processes
- To update Background and Scheduled Processes grids
If the User happens to update their password at the same time as one of these updates is about to take place, an error may occur. This is more likely when testing with an MS Access database (not supported for production use).
To minimise this happening, these Web Service calls are not rescheduled (to run 2 seconds later) if a password change is taking place. This can be seen in the web browser's developer console, e.g., a warning such as "Rescheduled Processes.RecordLoad due to requests being held" will be shown.
This situation is unlikely to occur in day-to-day use.
