Database upgrade; if fails whilst adding extended indexes the database cannot be opened

If a SQL Server database upgrade fails whilst adding extended indexes, the database cannot be opened as it is flagged as "partially upgraded". Normally a partially upgraded database can be resumed.

Now the upgrade will complete successfully. If the extended indexes fail to be added you will be warned, but the database will not be left partially upgraded.

Note, if this occurs contact Intersoft Systems for a workaround to add extended indexes.
