Combine Clients wizard; if both Clients are linked to the same Account Application, the merge fails

Using the Combine Clients wizard you may merge two Clients that are the same person or organisation into one combined Client.

However, if both Clients are linked via Applicants on the same Account Application the merge fails with "Failed to merge duplicated Client '[Client1]' with Client '[Client2]'. Failed to delete Client. This Client is used as the 'Client', 'Loaded From' or 'Created' Client by one or more Account Application Applicants.".

Note, Applicants can be linked to a Client in one of three ways.

1. The Applicant's details was loaded from a Client. In this case the link is moved to the Client that is being merged into.
2. The Applicant created a new Client. In this case the link is moved to the Client that is being merged into.
3. The Applicant links to a Client that was assigned to the Account when it was Opened. In this case the merge fails to load with a message "Both Clients cannot belong to the same Account Application."
