Documents; "Disbursement Remittance Advice" has been updated to a "Word Document" file type

The "Disbursement Remittance Advice" Document supplied with finPOWER Connect is now a "Word Document" rather than a "Word VBA" file type.

What this means is:

  • "Disbursement_Remittance.dot" Word VBA Document has been removed from the installation of finPOWER Connect.
  • The following files are now supplied:
    • "Disbursement_Remittance.docx"
    • "Disbursement_Remittance.xml"
  • There is no longer any requirement for Microsoft Word to be installed on the PC publishing this document.
  • By default a PDF file is created instead of a Word file.

To set up the Document in finPOWER Connect:

  • From the Admin menu, select Documents.
  • Click the "Import" action.
  • Locate and import the "Disbursement_Remittance.xml" file in the Templates folder.
  • Save the new Document record.
  • Update your Disbursement Account Type(s) to use this new Document.

Of course, as with any sample document, you must ensure it is fit for your purpose before using.
