VedaConnect, VedaScore Apply Credit Enquiry; may fail with Enquiry Client Reference Validation error

Executing a VedaConnect VedaScore Apply credit enquiry may fail with a Enquiry Client Reference error "REFERENCE CONTAINS INVALID CHARACTERS. Please contact Veda quoting enquiry-id for resolution. Response error 040005. Business rules breached".

The current specification of the VedaScore Apply product is incorrect. The Enquiry Client Reference can only include letters (upper and lower case), spaces and dashes, must include at least one number and be a maximum of 15 characters. The specification document states it can include other punctuation.

Since the Enquiry Client Reference is derived from the Client Id, a Client Id with a full stop, for example, would generate this error.

finPOWER Connect will only send an Enquiry Client Reference if the Client Id meets the criteria as noted above.
