Account Close; fails with "Account Balance is not zero"
Closing an Account may fail with a message like "Failed to commit Account Close. Failed to set Account '55813' to Closed Pending status. Account Balance is not zero."
This occurs under the following scenario:
- Account is Closed (Pending) - which also posts an Interest Transaction (with no audit information)
- Interest is Suspended
- Account is Re-Opened
The Close tries to reverse the Interest Transaction from the previous Close - but it is not handled properly.
