AI; Document Manager file summaries
AI summarisation of Document Manager files is now supported.
The following must be configured:
- Global Settings, AI, General:
- "Use AI" must be checked
- Global Settings, AI, Logs & Documents:
- "Allow AI summaries to be created for Document Manager Files" must be checked
Users must have the following permissions to perform this action:
- AI.Access
- AI.DocumentManagerFileSummarise
NOTE: Both of these permissions are User Interface permissions meaning Scripts and other processes can still use AI functionality regardless of the User's permissions.
For Document Logs, e.g., publishing a Loan Statement, a file summary will never be created automatically, however, the "Summarise File using AI" button will still appear in the Log summary and can be used to summarise the file content, e.g., a PDF file.
The following business layer changes to existing objects have been made to support this functionality:
- finLogRO.SourceBranchId property added for proper Cost Centre identification
NOTE: The Document Manager (and grids on the corresponding forms) has been updated to ignore any ".ai.json" files in the folder. From a business layer perspective, this means the finDocumentFiles and ISDocumentManagerServiceFileSystem objects have been updated.
The following Summary Page Standard Block has been updated to include AI buttons (to generate a file summary and to cancel existing "pending" requests):

finPOWER Connect Desktop
- Dragging items into the Files grid (e.g., Client Files) will initiate AI summarisation based on Global Settings and permissions
- Dragging a file into the Logs grid will initiate AI summarisation
- Adding or updating a Log and specifying a Document File Name will initiate AI summarisation providing the file is in the Document Manager folder or Global Settings are configured to copy files into the Document Manager folder structure
- The Log Summary will now show an AI Summary of the file or buttons to summarise it
finPOWER Connect Cloud
- Dragging items into the Files grid (e.g., Client Files) will initiate AI summarisation based on Global Settings and permissions
- Adding or updating a Log and specifying a Document File Name will initiate AI summarisation
- The Log Summary will now show an AI Summary of the file or buttons to summarise it
- The Files grid will now show an AI column (if one of more files has an AI summary) and, selecting that row will show the file summary
- Button below the Files grid allows an AI Summary to be produced for the selected row
