Credit Bureau; CentrixNZ Enquiries; Non-Latin characters may be replaced

The CentrixNZ enquiry requests have been updated to replace letters that include an accent with their standard letter equivalent. For example, the character "Ā" will be replaced by "A".

Centrix does not accept requests containing these characters, and previously those requests would have been rejected with a server error.

Other non-Latin characters or symbols, including non-printable ACSII characters, will result in a failure message "Invalid [FieldName]. One or more characters are not supported by the service provider.".

The following elements are checked:

• Biometric Verification, Consumer Product Enquiry, and Consumer Address Trace
• First Name
• Middle Name
• Last Name
• Addresses (Current and Previous, if specified)
• Street Address
• Suburb
• City

• Consumer Driver Check
• Last Name
