PPSR Australia; if ACN is applicable to Grantor the ABN should not be used

A PPSR Registration in Australia should use the Organisation's ACN, if applicable, and not the ABN. This is important as not doing so could make your registration ineffective.

No change was made to finPOWER Connect, as this is the way it works. If the Client Type Class specifies an ACN is valid this is sent as the Grantor's identifier - the ABN is never used.

Note, an Organisation's ACN can be located via the ABN Lookup facility at https://abr.business.gov.au/Search/Index.
