Dates in HTML Widgets and other Grids and DateBox controls were not displaying as expected if User Preferences Date Format used "MMM" to display a month name
Under User Preferences, General, Formatting, a User can define (among other things), the following date formats:
- Long Date
- Grid Date
The mnemonic "MMM" indicates that the User wishes to see a 3 character month name, e.g., a format of "d/MMM/yyyy" would display "7/Dec/2023" in finPOWER Connect desktop.
However, month names are not supported for date entry and client-side display (e.g., in DateBox controls or grids) in finPOWER Connect Cloud and Portals. Instead, different areas could display corrupt dates, e.g.: "7/1212/2023".
In the case of read-only data, this was simply a visual "glitch". In the case of data-entry, particularly for existing records (e.g., a Client Log), this could not only display the date incorrectly but also change it upon saving the record.
