Clearing Database Locks; changed from an Administrator only to Permission based function
finPOWER Connect uses special locks to prevent Users doing things like both editing the same Transaction Entry batch and overwriting each other's changes.
Occasionally, if finPOWER Connect does not close down properly, these locks will be left in place.
To view or clear locks, a User can open the Tools, Database, Database Users, Locks and Information menu and go to the Locks page.
Previously only Administrator or User Administrator Users could clear Locks. This has been changed to a Permission based function, using the Permission Key "Database.Locks.Delete". This is denied by default, but can now be allowed for any User.
