Transaction Entry; can commit a Transaction to an Account after changing to an invalid Account code
In the Transaction Entry wizard, a Transaction can be committed to a seemly invalid Account code.
Follow these steps:
- Enter a new Transaction with a valid Account and value.
- Click back to the Account column.
- Change the Account code to a code that doesn't exist.
- Tab to the next column.
- Click Commit.
The Batch is successfully committed, the Transaction with the invalid Account code is committed to the previous valid Account.
This issue has been fixed. In addition, a warning message "Account not found." is displayed.
Note, Transaction Entry is specifically designed to allow and save invalid Account codes. This allows Transactions to be imported from a file where there may be invalid Account codes.
