No longer require Web Services Administration to be local by default
Version 3.03.04 of Web Services added a new configuration option to force Web Administration to only be accessible from the local web server.
By default, this option was turned on. Unfortunately, this caused problems such as:
- Not being able to access the Administration facility via "localhost"
- Only Internet Explorer being installed on the web server; a browser that is not compatible with the user interface
For new installations, this option is now turned off by default and instead, the following warning will show in bold on the Web Administration Login form:
Web Administration is not configured for local and white-listed access only.
NOTE: The ability to white-list IP addresses has been added to this release of Web Services.
