Deposit Interest; New Payment Type of "Capitalise"

A new Deposit Interest Payment Type of "Capitalise" has been added. This is similar to "Compound", but the Interest is transferred to the Principal or Fees balance of the Deposit Account.

On the Deposit Account Type there are new settings as follows:

  • Interest Options page; Available Types now includes "Capitalise".
  • Accounting page; now includes "Interest Capitalisation" Element.
    • This defines the Element to use when transferring the Interest balance to Principal or Fees balance.
      • Note, the Element's Allocation type defines where the Interest balance is transferred to.
    • If blank, the "Balance Adjustment" Element is used.

Note, the "Capitalise" transaction actually occurs the day after the Interest Transaction (like an Interest Transfer). This is because the Interest transaction is treated as an "overnight" transaction, i.e. effects the Balance from the next day.
