Commission Rules; where basis is "Difference" and "Always Pay?" is checked, commissions may be unexpectedly paid
Where a Commission Rule is setup on an External Party with a basis of "Difference" and "Always Pay?" is checked, commissions may be unexpectedly paid
Where the value of a transaction is the same as the commission value being compared to, it is treated as not being paid. Hence the commission is unexpectedly paid/ deducted.
For example, if the Commission Rule is defined as Difference $30 and Always Pay:
- A transaction of $50 will give a Commission of $50-$30 = $20.
- A transaction of $20 will give a Commission of $20-$30 = -$10.
- No transaction will give a Commission of $0-$30 = -$30.
However:
- A transaction of $30 will give a Commission of $30-$30 = $0, but this was being treated as not paid, so the Commission was -$30.
The change now means the example above will treat it as being paid, i.e.
- A transaction of $30 will give a Commission of $30-$30 = $0.
