Equifax; Retirement of older TLS 1.0/1.1 security protocols

To meet best practice industry security standards, Equifax (Veda) are retiring the older TLS 1.0/1.1 security protocols.

This will occur on:

• Test environment: 1st August 2017
• Production environment: 30th November 2017

From these dates, connections will require TLS 1.2 or higher.

finPOWER 5 If you are using Windows 7 or earlier, the Equifax (Veda) service will not work. Windows 8 and above is not affected.

finPOWER Connect There is no impact.

In summary, if you are using Equifax (Veda) on finPOWER 5 running on Windows 7 or less, you will need to upgrade either your operating system or move to finPOWER Connect.
