Australian Phone Number validation; various enhancements
The Australian Phone Number validation logic has been enhanced as follows:
- Mobile Phone Numbers
- Begin with 04 or 05
- Must be 10 digits (including 04 or 05)
- Landline (Geographic) Phone Numbers
- Begin with 02, 03, 07, 08
- Must be 8 digits (excluding area code)
- Local Rate Phone Numbers
- Begin with 13 or 1300
- Must be 6 digits (including 13) or 8 or 10 digits (including 1300)
- Freecall Phone Numbers
- Begin with 180 or 1800
- Must be 7 digits (including 180) or 10 digits (including 1800)
- Premium Phone Numbers
- Begin with 19 (except 1998)
- Must be 6 digits (including 19) or 8 or 10 digits (including 19xx)
All other Phone Number report a warning message "This Phone Number does not look like a valid Australian Phone Number. Please check the Phone Number is correct.".
