User Interface; validating Date Cycle controls not working as expected
Date cycle controls may cause unpredictable results, as the change event only fires immediately if an item is selected from the dropdown list. When focus moves on to another control, eg by pressing
The following two examples highlight issues:
1. Admin, Account Types, Payments page (for a Revolving Credit Loan Account Type).
2. Change Hold To Period to "On Date" using the dropdown list - shows date field.
3. Press Tab, Shift+Tab.
4. Type "N" (don't use dropdown). Changes to "None" but no change event.
5. Click Save on the action. The "On Date" date field is still visible and is mandatory so goes back to that field.
1. New Account wizard, Financial page.
2. Add a new Transaction.
3. Select an Element.
4. Change Frequency to "Once".
5. Press
