Global Settings and User Preferences; clicking cancel can cause an unhandled exception

Clicking cancel in Global Settings or User Preferences can cause the following error "An unhandled exception has occurred. Value was either too large or too small for an Int32.".

This occurs if a very large number, e.g. 99999999999999999999, is entered into a number field. For example, the database and internet timeouts.
