NZ PPSR G2B interface; better handling of "Pending" PPSR Transactions

The PPSR G2B interface may leave PPSR Transactions in a "Pending" status and at this point they get stuck within finPOWER.

When a Register or Amend request is sent to the PPSR and the Financing Statement includes a Company, the PPSR in turn calls the NZ Companies Office to validate the Company Number and Name. In recent times this call has produced errors that are not gracefully handled by the PPSR and finPOWER Connect.

finPOWER Connect is interpreting this as a communication error, and leaving the Transaction in a Pending state.

When drilling down to review the Transaction Status within finPOWER Connect the response from the PPSR includes; status="PP" status_desc="Processing - request parsed, currently processing transaction" . finPOWER treats this as a "Pending" transaction and will not fail or successfully complete the Transaction - hence it gets stuck.

The Transaction Status drilldown form now allows Pending PPSR Transactions to be failed. Simply click on the "Finish" button and answer Yes to the confirmation message to fail the Transaction.

WARNING: You should only fail a pending Transaction if you are sure it is a failure.
