Accounts and Clients; Tax Category changes
The following Tax Category related changes have been made for Deposit Accounts:
- Accounts form, Financial page:
- Interest block now displays a 'Withholding Tax Details' section
- Account Tax Category History form available from 'Review' link or button
- Account Tax Category Change wizard
- Updates Tax Category and writes audits
- New Permission Keys:
- Account.TaxCategory
- Account.TaxCategoryCancel
- Account.TaxCategoryRevise
- New Script (Global Settings and Deposit Account Types)
- Tax Category Change Event
- Supports the following events:
- ExecuteCommitPre
- ExecuteCommitPreInTransaction
- ExecuteCommitPostInTransaction
- ExecuteCommitPost
- New Auditing Options (Global Settings, Auditing, Accounts)
- Tax Category
- Client Warnings (if licensed for the Deposits Add-On):
- New 'Withholding Tax' block detailing Withholding Tax errors
- These will be high priority errors if the Client has any Deposit Accounts, otherwise they will be low priority.
- Account Warnings (only for Deposit Accounts):
- New 'Tax' block
- Main Client's Withholding Tax errors
- Warning if Client's Tax Category does not match Account
- Account Exception List report
- New 'Withholding Tax' type exceptions option (if licensed for the Deposits Add-On)
- Shows the same exceptions as displayed on the Account Warnings
- Clients form, Tax & Banking Page
- New Permission Key:
- Client.WithholdingTaxUpdate
- Button beneath Withholding Tax details to 'Change' details if licensed for the Deposits Add-On and permission
- If this button is shown then all of the Tax fields will be read-only and changes must be made via this button
- If not permission to update Withholding Tax details, these fields will now also be read-only
- Client Withholding Tax Change wizard
- Allows all Client's Accounts (where Client is the 'Main' Account Client) to be updated
- 'Quote' Accounts are updated directly
- 'Open' Accounts are updated via the Account Tax Category Change wizard object
- Global Settings, Accounts, General page
- New option "Tax Category is Mandatory for 'Open' Accounts"
- If Mandatory then when an applicable Account is 'Opened', the Tax Category is copied from the 'Main' Client if not specified for the Account
- If changed back to a 'Quote', the Account's Tax Category will be cleared if it matches the 'Main' Client
