Web Service Client Certificate changes

Client Certificates are used by the following services:

• MotorWeb
• PPSR G2B (New Zealand)

Previously, these certificates could be defined as either a certificate name or a file name under Global Settings and/or User Preferences.

A new Certificates library is available under Tools, User Security.

Under Global Settings and User Preferences, the Certificates defined for MotorWeb and PPSRG2B now reference this new Certificates library.

Certificates can now be imported so that they no longer need to be installed on each User's computer or referenced by file name. This is the recommended method of using Certificates.

When upgrading a database, Global Settings and User Preferences will be updated within reason but connectivity to MotorWeb and the PPSRG2B should be verified upon completion of the upgrade.

When upgrading a database to finPOWER Connect version 2, upon first opening the database, Certificates for MotorWeb and PPSR will be created if necessary and Global Settings updated. If any User Preferences define Certificate details, these are NOT upgraded but an HTML report will be displayed showing any Users and settings that should be reviewed.
