Close Accounting Period; changed how the this process works
Previously, when an Accounting Period was closed, all transactions dated on or before the 'To' date will be linked to the existing "current" Accounting Period, and a new Accounting Period was created - ie, the details entered were for the next Accounting Period.
The Close Accounting Period function has been updated so that the Accounting Period entered is the period closing, NOT the next period. This Accounting Period is created and all Transactions dated on or prior to the To Date are linked to it.
Warning: If you have been using Accounting Periods, the first time you run the Close Accounting Period wizard it will default the incorrect Accounting Period. You will have to manually enter the From date and Accounting Period code. The previously created current Accounting Period will still exist with no Transactions linked to it.
The Entity Business Layer object includes a new function."GetCurrentAccountingPeriod" to get the next or current Accounting Period. If this is the first Accounting Period, the dates returned will be Nothing.
