Payment Arrangements; Promises and Additional payments no added as Direct Debits as expected

finPOWER Connect includes a rule when generating expected Payments for future payment dues that if a Payment is dated on or after when the payment is due it will not be classified as expected. In other words, if there has been a payment on the account then a further payment is not expected until after that date.

Typically Account Processes are run each day and create Payment Due transactions, including Direct Debit values.

This combination of rules means that in some circumstances a Direct Debit isn't created when expected.

For example, if a client who pays by Direct Debit makes a payment (via Direct Debit or manually), then later the same day a payment arrangement is made including a promise or additional payment then no Direct Debit is created.

Therefore, the rule to decide if a payment due is expected or not now excludes Promises and Additional Payments.
