Bank Importing; major overhaul of bank transaction matching
The Bank Transaction import Account matching functionality has been overhauled.
Previously finPOWER Connect held a separate list of match keys and which Account each key related to. So, if as a transaction is imported it would use this "match" list to determine which Account to match to. However, this matching did not take into account Transactions that were split between multiple Accounts.
The "AccountBankMatch" table, which held the match list, has been deleted. Bank Transactions now hold the match key.
In the Bank Transaction import the imported transaction is matched against existing Bank Transactions, and if the same match key is found the previous Bank Transaction is used to determine which Accounts to allocate to.
Note, on the Account form, Payments page, Bank Matches can still be reviewed and deleted if necessary. The list of Bank Matches is derived from Bank Transactions. Deleting a Bank Match will remove it from all Bank Transactions.
