finPOWER Core Features

Features core to the entire finPOWER system and common across all modules are:

Easy to Use Windows Interface

The finPOWER Series maximises the use of the Windows™ Graphical User Interface (GUI) to create a friendly environment that is easy to navigate and learn. Powerful Lookup and Search facilities are also included.

Customisation

Many of the User Interface features are fully customisable. For example Menus and Toolbars are completely customisable. Data entry "grid layouts" may be customised and saved for each user, allowing fine-tuning of the system.

Complies with NZ Acts

The finPOWER Series has been carefully designed to comply with NZ Acts. The Variable Loans Module is specifically designed to allow finance companies to comply with the Credit Contracts and Consumer Finance Act 2003 and the Personal Property Secirity Act 1999 is also fully catered for.

You may, however, override "loan" characteristics to provide more flexible loan types.

Complies with Australian Consumer Credit Code

finPOWER is designed to provide compliance with the Australian Uniform Consumer Credit Code and it State variations and interpretations.

Complies Internationally

Internationally, finPOWER is flexible enough to meet the requirements of many different legislative requirements.

Microsoft Office Integration

finPOWER is closely integrated to MS Office, giving access to the functionality of Word, Excel and Access. Formatting features of Word can be fully incorporated, along with high-level VBA tools to enhance your documentation.

Exposed Business Layer

The Business software layer behind finPOWER can be accessed by other third party applications to safely read and update finPOWER. Such applications may include Internet based data entry and loan enquiry systems, custom front-ends or sales based systems such as a POS application.

SQL Server Database

With the development of finPOWER we have provided an interchangeable architecture that allows the system to operate with either a Microsoft Jet Database (the same database that is behind Microsoft Access) or a Microsoft SQL Server Database.

The SQL Server version of finPOWER is exactly the same as the standard version of finPOWER except it utilises the scalable Microsoft SQL Server database that offers a number of key benefits for larger users of finPOWER.

Reports

Reports may be previewed on the screen or printed to a printer. Reports can be exported in a number of different formats, including Portable Document Format (PDF), and text CSV formats suitable to load into Microsoft Excel etc or e-mailed direct from the application.

Open Integration

The non SQL Sever version of finPOWER stores information using Microsoft's Jet Database. This is the same database "engine" behind Microsoft Access. This means any other product that can open an Access database can retrieve information from a finPOWER database.
